I think of my painting as alluvial romanticism. By adding and removing liquid paint, aerial views and elevations appear within counter flowing picture planes, pigment and medium settling like the geological effect of water on real landscape. Systematized chance creates a textural and pictorial convergence which tends towards a formal integrity. It's an opportunist process.
